D-U-N-S® code registration process 

Registration of D-U-N-S® codes is not complicated, but requires accuracy and transparency in providing information. The reference process is as follows: 

• Step 1: Prepare the dossier 

• Certificate of enterprise/establishment registration (notarized copy). 

• Information about the legal representative. 

• The most recent financial statement (if any). 

• Address of the head office, branch, representative office. 

• Information about the business field, the number of personnel. 

• Website, contact email, social media accounts (if any). 

Step 2: Register online or through an authorized Dun & Bradstreet dealer 

Go to the official website of Dun & Bradstreet (www.dnb.com) or the dealer in Vietnam. 

Fill in the information according to the registration form, attach the necessary documents. 

Reconfirm the information and submit the application. 

Step 3: Appraisal and verification of information 

Dun & Bradstreet experts check records and verify business information through multiple sources (government, newspapers, social media, websites, etc,…). 

In case of additional requirements, the business will be required to provide additional documents. 

Step 4: Issue and publish the D-U-N-S® code 

Upon successful verification, a D-U-N-S® code will be issued and the business will be included in Dun & Bradstreet’s global data system. 

Information about the code will be sent via email, posted on the website or provided through the business management account. 

Time and cost of registering the D-U-N-S® code 

The time for issuance of D-U-N-S® codes can be from 3-7 working days for enterprises with complete and valid documents. For cases where additional verification is required, the time may be longer. The cost of registration varies depending on the size of the business, the service provider, the level of information checking, or the accompanying service packages such as credit reports, financial appraisals,… 

Notes on using the D-U-N-S® code 

• Each enterprise, organization, branch, and office is granted a separate and non-duplicate code. 

• A D-U-N-S® code does not replace a business license, tax identification number, or other domestic legal documents. 

• Businesses need to regularly update information on the Dun & Bradstreet system to ensure accuracy when evaluating partners.
